Objectives: The purpose of this course is to familiarize students with the basic concepts of Psychology and the research methods that are used in Psychology, covering personality, learning, motivation, intelligence and emotions.
Contents: 1. Basics of Psychology, its fields and subfields; 2. Research Methods; 3. Neuron structure and functions, Peripheral and central nervous system; 4. Attention and its types; 5. Emotions, functions and theories; 6. Motivation, functions, theories and approaches; 7. Learning, Classical Conditioning, Operant Conditioning; 8. Intelligence; 9. Freud's theory of personality, Defense Mechanisms.
