Objectives: The course aims at equipping students with latest AI tools for developing software. Students will be able to describe the working of generative AI systems and use for effectively engineering prompts for developing software. Students will also be able to integrate LLM APIs into existing IDEs. They will be able to compare various AI based programming tools and choose the appropriate ones based on the requirements.
Contents: Benefits and Drawbacks of AI assisted programming; Introduction to Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs); Types of LLMs; Prompt Engineering: Zero-Shot and Few-Shot Learning, Chain of Thought Prompting, Autonomous AI Agents; Integrating LLM APIs into IDE; Comparison of AI Assisted Programming Tools; Idea Generation; Market Analysis; Requirements Analysis; Managing Code; Debugging and Testing; Deployment.
