Net Centric Programming

(DE) Domain Elective Theory: 3 Cr. Hrs Total: 3 Cr. Hrs
Objectives: Main objectives of the course is to use advanced programming with a focus on developing software for networked systems. Students will be able to develop server end software by using (sockets based) network programming.

Contents: Networking, OSI Reference Model; Data-link and Transport Layers; Ethernet, TCP/IP; Sockets Programming, TCP Programming; TELNET, HTTP; UDP Sockets, I/O Multiplexing, TFTP; DNS and address conversions; Client/Server Programming; Advanced Sockets; Daemons, inetd, SMTP, POP, IMAP, IPV6; RPC Programming; Java Network Programming; Security; The WWW, Intro to Web Programming; Server Side Web Programming; Client Side Web Programming (Javascript), Ajax.
